Children, young people and adults with intellectual and/or learning disabilities, but also people with developmental disabilities such as perceptual and processing problems can be overwhelmed in regular training programmes.
For this target group, there are various Judo clubs in Switzerland that try to organise their training programmes in such a way that it is possible for this target group to be integrated into a club as a member, to attend training sessions regularly and also to take part in competitions.
Adaptive Judo is Judo with some adaptations so that people with special needs from institutions, special schools, HPS or integrated special needs students, among others, can practice the sport of Judo with pride and passion. The safety of the judoka is paramount.
